Subject: ICON: The Antenna farm
Hi all, I wanted to share a few pics of a project that was started last
week. The city recently purchased a piece of property
that was formerly used as an antenna site for the FAA. We got it complete
with building and poles, 175 of them, ranging
in height from 20 to 135 ft tall. The removal started last week, and I was
on site to observe it. The site also had a primary
service served at 12KV and some of that was also left behind. As the poles
come down, there's a lot of down guy hardware
and strain insulators. This stuff will be available to me for about five
more days. If anybody is interested in any, let me know ASAP.
I posted pics in the following places:

Enjoy!
