[CQ-Contest] Krylon as a Fiberglass Sealer?

My R7's insulator is showing some "fiber".  Can spray paint be used to seal it 
again or do I need to use Epoxy as a sealer?  Insight appreciated.  Direct 
responses (off-list) please.
