Hank, There was a Bermuda Contest, and the winners from the U.S. and the U.K. were treated to a paid-for trip to Bermuda to pick up their awards. That's how I remember it. It's been 30 years or more. The Puritans at the ARRL listed this activity in their contest calendar but didn't mention the awards. 30 years ago next weekend I operated K1TN/VP9 in the IARU Radiosport Championship, with Chod Harris. We paid our own way.
