You hope...

But what about all those BPL advocates and lobbyists who will be thrown 
out on the street to wreak havoc and mayhem if left to their own devices?

I've always thought that BPL is more a clever way to keep a few hundred 
folks employed than any serious attempt to bring broadband to the rural 
masses.
