Gang,

Here.'s the topic for the next Contesting on a Budget column:

SERIOUS CONTEST RADIOS, FUN TOYS OR BOTH?

"Theyâre inexpensive, small, versatile and fun, but are those portable
HF/VHF/UHF radios (such as the IC-706, IC-7000, FT-857, etc) serious contest
radios? Tell me about your experiences with this type of radio, what the
limitations are and how youâve overcome them, and the types of contest
configurations
youâve used them in."

This ought to be an interesting topic, due to the popularity of these
radios. I look forward to hearing from your experiences in DXpeditions as
well as
from your home stations with these rigs.

Please provide your input by Sunday, November 10th. Thanks in advance!

73,

Paul, K5AF
