Mike, for a relative small investment, you can use a SDR (software defined 
radio) in the form of one of the Softrock kits 
http://www.amqrp.org/kits/softrock40/ and brew up a nice little rig and use 
Rocky software or even the big brother Power SDR software to view the entire 
spectrum on your band of choice for a relatively cheap price.  The softrock 
page is a little outdated as he has multi band kits now as well as receiving 
capabilities.  In any event, a solution to your question.
