Dave,
CQing for 8 hours on a dead band isn't contesting.  It's unnecessary 
pain.  Do you operate the 10m contest from midnight to 6 AM?
The guys at W2GD can entertain themselves in Atlantic City during the 
day when the band's dead :.)
