The Contest Compendium's Table of Contents
<http://wiki.contesting.com/index.php/Table_of_Contents> has just
undergone a wholesale makeover, which will make it much easier for
you to find topic areas where you would like to read or contribute,
either in the form of new articles or by editing what is already there.

Eric, K3NA, did the work on this, and he has also come up with a new
concept (for the ham radio world, anyway) called Open Notebooks
<http://wiki.contesting.com/index.php/Category:Open_Notebooks>.
These are are wiki pages that record information about ongoing
projects by contesters. The term "projects" covers a wide range of
territory, from day-to-day details about constructing and maintaining
a specific contest station to complex research & development projects
that aim to advance the state of the art. Comments and suggestions
are not only invited, but actively sought. If you would like to
share your current projects, or encourage others to help you solve
problems or find new solutions, this can be a very convenient way,
because the format can include graphics, audio recordings, and other
multimedia files.

Meanwhile, a growing number of articles is being added every day
every day. Today's crop includes revisions to the section on search
and pounce techniques, a new section on pileup techniques from the
calling station's perspective, and a new section on the use of older
transceivers for contesting, with what we hope is some good advice on
good contest rigs that won't break the bank. Have ideas in these or
other areas? Join us and give back your knowledge to ham radio
contesters everywhere!

I can't begin to summarize all the information that is being added
daily by contesters world-wide - come check out the Table of Contents
and see what I mean.

73, Pete N4ZR
