The better your rhythm and the bigger the pile-up the sooner you will be
called by the loudest signal on the band, pinning your S-Meter, running
from his home station, his amp at full tilt boogie, as he returns from
your part of the exchange you hear the following:
W-xyz , W-xyz this is k-abc, k-abc , k-abc, Kentucky - alabama
baltimore california, the name here is Bob, Broken Old Bottle, Bob My
QTH (yes this is voice) is about 27 and a half miles east-southeast of
Schenectedy, New York. Your signal is really coming in good here today,
I would say maybe around an s8 or s9. There sure are a lot of signals
on the band. The weather here is mostly cloudy with a good chance of
rain later this afternoon. The Rig here is a Collins KWM-380 it's
pretty old but no where near as old as I am. There sure are a lot of
signals on the band today. I'm not in any contsts but I thought I'd
give you a point So back she comes...My name is Bob and I'm near
Schenectedy, New York W-xyz, W-xyz, W-xyz this is K-abc, K-abc, K-abc,
