Hi Folks,
In addition to the CQ WPX RTTY, the Louisiana QSO Party is this
Saturday,
from 1500 Saturday to 0300 Sunday. Rules can be found
at: http://www.qsl.net/kd5wdy/LAQSO_/laqso_.html.
IN Louisiana stations will give signal report and 3 or 4 letter Parish
abbreviation. Outside LA gives signal report and state or province. Links
to Parish abbreviations, log sheets and summary sheets can also be found at
the url above.
At least 6 hardcore rovers will be participating, and plans are to
activate all 64 parishes, so if you are a County/Parish hunter, this will
be a good chance to get them.
For N1MM users, we have been working with the sponsors and the N1MM
team
to update things. A special thanks to John, K3CT, for all the effort in
making sure it scores everything correctly. The newest release, supporting
the current rules is 11.02.02, placed on the N1MM website 2/10/2011. Any
previous versions will NOT score correctly, so please update if you plan to
participate.
The sponsor does request a summary sheet, in addition to your Cabrillo
file, so no matter what software you use, please check the requirements and
make sure everything is there.
In addition to the rovers, a number of Louisiana fixed stations will be
on
the air, so if not busy, look to the Gulf South and join us for a cup of
gumbo and a good time in the Louisiana QSO Party.
Laissez les bon temps roulez (Let the good times roll)
