My opinion as what contributes the most to a contest score

(especially in a DX contest) is the age old adage "location, location

then antennas, antennas".

Without gain antennas or the ongoing pursuit of getting gain antennas

for the station the addition of high end rigs will not make the impact in

your score as that what has just be stated above.

Also, add years of contest operating and propagation knowledge for your

location to the mix and the score will improve.

Contest score increase is a constant work in progress and that is the fun

in the game, regardless in which area you choose to improve first (location,

antennas, rigs or time speed in the chair)
