[CQ-Contest] 100 Watt power limit for Sprints-Discuss

Do we really need 1500 watts to work mostly USA stations?  The NAQP's 
are 100 watts.  The NCCC Sprints are 100 watts every week and people do 
very well.

The lower power would put more people on the same field, it would lessen 
the qrm for most including non participants.

I know this has been talked about in the past.  What are the factors for 
keeping the power limit at 1500 watts?
