What I used to find very useful was to listen to Europe on using a Beverage and transmit with the stacks. It was extremely effective when the high angle mid-west stations came into the picture and also when there was precipitation static. In the latter case, it was much quieter than using the low beam for receive. John, W1RR/4 John J.
