I have been reading this thread for a while, and it seems to have many of
you with your various opinions in quite an uproar.

I guess I would ask only 2 questions:

1) Do you have a remote station and operate it during contests?

2) If you answered "no", what's the problem? ( keep the thread going
and tell us why it is a problem to YOU!)

This reminds me of being in Dayton and attending the first seminar on CW
Skimmer, the audience was packed with loads of us.

The speaker asked who thinks skimmer is "cheating" or something to that
effect. Almost all of the hands in the room went up.

He next asked, do you use skimmer? Maybe 10 -or so people put their hands
up. Skimmer is an accepted part of our hobby now.

The uninformed opinions from people who "don't have a clue", sure makes me
smile.

Hey guys and gals - "It is only a HOBBY" - go out and have fun with your
hobby.

I think I will fire up the remote, get on cw, call cq and see how many
skimmers in the world hear my "remote" cw signal, coming

out of my rig, with all of my antennas and equipment in the same location?

Paul K2DB - remote only 99.9% of the time J
