Just a reminder to all those who are planning to attend or "fence sitting"
the Huntsville
Hamfest in Huntsville, AL Aug 17th thru the 19th.
Friday evening Aug 17th the ACG is sponsoring the 5th Annual Sunny South
Contest Suite. The past years it has been the activity to attend on Fri
evening
from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. The turnout continues to grow and one never knows
who
you will be rubbing elbows with during the evening. Also there will the
presentation
of the 2012 SE Contester of the Year.
Also on Saturday Aug 18th there are 4 hours of presentations scheduled at
the Contest Forum. On the schedule are K4BAI, NF4A just to drop a few names
of popular SE Contesters.
Then on Saturday evening Aug 18th there will be an informal Contest Dinner
at a
local establishment where more discussion and hob-nobing will be promoted
over dinner.
So if you are planning to attend the Huntsville Hamfest be there. If your
on a leg of your vacation or just traveling up/down I-65 plan to stop and
enjoy the Hamfest festivities.
