It appears the skimmers are only listening to the bottom 50 kHz segment of the 160m band. I found NØHJZ on 1854, the old fashioned way... turning the knob on my transceiver.

So if you're going to be CQing / RUNning... and want the benefit of being 'auto spotted'... you will want to stick in the lower 50 kHz of the band. At least that's what I am seeing here using the AE5E node 90 minutes into the contest.
