Because CQ-Contest is not going to resolve these issues. I agree with Tom about the DC thing. I should not have got sucked into this argument yet again.

We had the discussion about Washington DC as a multiplier in December 2012, and in August 2012, and before that every year or two. The proponents (or opponents) can contact the contest sponsors and make their case for change.

It seems to me that the purpose of cq-contest is to
encourage and facilitate discussion of topics relevant
to contesters and contesting.

The fact that some issues are discussed repeatedly is
often due to them being both relevant and unresolved.
Why can't these discussions be encouraged?

CQ-Contest is the best forum we have, worldwide, for
reviewing contesting issues, and it serves equally well
in bringing them to the attention to contest sponsors.

List members who have no interest in specific issues
need have no complaints, as they are free to ignore
them.
