Please plan to attend the Contest Forum, Saturday, May 16, 12:30PM -
2:30 PM in Room 1.

There has been one change since the publication of the speaker list on
the Hamvention Web site and program book. N6TR will be unable to
attend and the talk on remote contesting will be given by W1UE and
W1VE.

In addition to the listed talks, there will be a few little surprises
inserted here and there.

See you there!

---------
“WRTC2014 Documentary Video excerpts with Chairman’s Commentary” –
Doug Grant, K1DG

WRTC2014 took place in July 2014 in the Boston area. A superb 1-hour
professional documentary video about the event has been produced by
James Brooks, 9V1YC. This video is available for viewing at
www.wrtc2014.org or at https://vimeo.com/119947598 and should be
watched prior to coming to Dayton. This talk will reveal some
interesting and amusing behind-the-scenes anecdotes.
---
“Preparations for WRTC2018” - Michael Hoeding, DL6MHW, Vice-President,
WRTC2018; and Sandy Raeker, DL1QQ, Competitor, WRTC2014

Michael and Sandy will describe the work being done to prepare for
WRTC2018, to be held in Germany. Topics will include contesting in
Germany, organizations and people involved, open and closed issues,
description of proposed sites, and an invitation to attend.
---
“The K3TN Zero-operator, Multi-transmitter Operation at K4VV in ARRL
DX CW” – John Pescatore, K3TN

John will describe the setup and challenges of enabling five remote
operators to operate a Multi-Multi station in the ARRL DX Contest.
During the contest, operators from Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina
and Florida all used the K4VV station to amass over 4200 QSOs.
---
“Is Remote Contesting Ready for Prime Time?” – Dennis Egan, W1UE, and
Gerry Hull, W1VE

Dennis and Gerry have considerable experience with remote-station
contesting.Dennis helped add remote capability to the W1KM multi-multi
station and Gerry has operated numerous times from various remotes,
including the K2LE station in Vermont. He also installed several
operating positions at the WRTC2014 headquarters hotel, allowing
visitors to operate the IARU HF Championship from Vermont, Sweden, and
Brazil.

They will review recent high-scoring remote operations. In addition to
the technology, remote contesting opens new questions about remote
receiving sites, licensing, and more.
