A few years ago, soon after taking a serious interest
in 160 meter activity, we were forced to admit that
our little single wire beverages weren't gona cut it.
A station 500 or 600 miles to east of us was
regularly working into VK/ZL in the early mornings
and we were seldom hearing the DX.
The frustration gave us the incentive to
convert our hay fields into beverage fields.
Result;
Our beverage system looks pretty good on paper,
but didn't seem to improve much in those
early comparisons with the station to east.
Guess it just proves, "location" counts big time.
