That is a very unfortunate decision by the JARL IMO. Instead they should be
expanding the class of LP competitors to outside of Asia. Apparently it's going
to be the All JA contest now...what a shame.

I have to inform you that the WRTC2018 Team Selection
Criteria were updated. The JARL, sponsor of the All Asian DX
Contest, changed their contest rules as follows:
There are no more Single Operator Low Power categories for
stations outside Japan.
All Single Operators (High and Low Power, Single Band and
All Band) outside Japan will compete in one qualification
category. All Single Operators from Japan will still compete
separated in High and Low Power categories.
