Fully agreed. Even though I can't operate 160, I've been telling all my
friends who have the real estate to get up some kind of 160m antenna. By
any means possible. By hook or by crook. By skyhook. Anyone who does is
going to have a blast over the upcoming solar minimum. I read many of the
3830 160m reports from the last minimum and suffered a severe case of
antennis envy. Therapy was of little or no help.
I'm trying to figure out what I can do to take part. So far no really
good ideas. I really don't want to miss out on what will likely a super solar
slump.

Not really a problem for 160.
Solar minimum is a solar minimum is a solar minimum. In the last solar
minimum a certain well known multi-multi in one of the major CW DX
tests did a single weekend five band DXCC 160 through 15 meters. I think
that's the only time that's ever been done. Great ops great antennas great
equipment all in place before and since. Seemingly, super great conditions,
maybe once in a lifetime, also have to be in place for such an
accomplishment.
I'm getting ready for what might be a remarkable string of 160 seasons.
