Now that the big SSB contest is over, many of us are starting to think
about upcoming CW contests - in North America, Sweepstakes next weekend,
and worldwide, CQ WW DX CW near the end of November. If you have a bit of
time midweek, the one-hour CWTs (at 1300Z and 1900Z Wednesdays and 0300Z
Thursdays) can be a good place to tune up your CW operating.

As a result of the fall time changes in the northern hemisphere, the CWTs
will be an hour earlier local time in Europe starting this week, and in
North America starting next week, so don't forget to show up in time!

Next week, November 9-10, we will be celebrating the recent graduating
classes from the CW Academy courses with special lower-speed CWT sessions.
On November 9 and 10, please hold your CW speed down to 20 wpm or less to
welcome new participants, whether they are CW Academy recent grads or not.
If you're worried about getting your CW speed up to snuff for CQ WW, there
will be plenty of time for that in the following two weeks.

See you at the regular times (in NA; an hour earlier in EU) this week, then
at the new times for all next week with a relaxing slower speed version,
before getting into the full swing of the winter season in the November 16
sessions.

73,
Rich VE3KI
