I was amazed at how early I was able to work EU last night on 40. Normally I hear them fine but never ever do they respond....not so yesterday. I wish I had tried earlier. There were plenty I called that we couldn't make it happen or they just never heard me.

I tried calling CQ as well and got 2 people even with spots.

Strange. Not that US and Zone 4 is rare.

Europe opened to NA very early on 40m this weekend; it was runable from

When I would call CQ, the RBN would light up like a Christmas tree from EU
skimmers with very good reports.

However, little would call in until I was manually spotted by a caller, and
a pile ensued.

BTW, congrats to the RBN team for quickly bringing the system back up after
it died!
(They exceeded a PHP config threshold)... Essentially rebooting CQWW!! :-)
