it seems that modern radios need a keyed lock found on the back of the
radio labeled "assisted, unassisted", so that when thrown, the radio
becomes unassisted, and you have to give the key to your wife to actuate
it, and having to do chores (lawn mowing, junk removal etc) to get the
key back
