I can say that I'm always tickled pink to receive a certificate for my
efforts, whether in ONS or VY0. Sometimes I win because I (or we) are the
only ones in play. Regardless, I love the competition so I compete.

I've never been a fan of the overlays as they exist, as I'm usually working
with less than the category. I realise you can't match everyone, so the
category of "over-committed scientist/husband/father stealing some time to
operate an oldish radio that is never suggested as good for contests
feeding almost 100w into a funky wire draped over some stuff" isn't going
to happen.

But ... the super station scores seem to be fairly consistent. What I
would love is a way to evaluate my (hopefully improving) scores against
that consistent behaviour, factoring in to the best of our abilities gain
for location, antenna(s), power, bic, etc.

See you in Dayton! I'm going to Contest University even :-) :-) :-)

Pierre VE3KTB
