Hello Worldwide HF contesters

Another opportunity to work UK stations in the RSGB DX Contest this weekend.

Below is the info from Nick G4FAL.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Sunday 8th October 2017
05:00 - 23:00 UTC

The contest includes:

· 3.5, 7, 14, 21 and 28 MHz

· 12 and 18 hour categories

· Entries may be CW only, SSB only or mixed

· Scoring: UK&CD stations - 1 point per contact with UK&CD stations on any
band, 2 points for non-UK contacts on 80m, 40m and 20m, 4 points for 15m and 6
points for 10m. Multipliers are the countries of the DXCC list, on each band
and each mode, except that JA, W, VE, VK, ZL and ZS call areas count as
separate countries, and the UK call areas do not count for multiplier credit.

The rules are available here.

The start of the contest overlaps for three hours with the Oceania Contest DX
SSB leg promising some good DX contacts at the beginning. At the end of the
contest – up to 2200 UTC - hopefully there will be propagation to California to
allow some QSO party QSOs.

If you are not able to be QRV for the whole period please come on when you are
able and submit a log to support this event.

Kind Regards,

Nick Totterdell G4FAL,

RSGB HF Contest Committee Chair
