Thanks for writing.
The ARRL 10 meter contest allows contacts on CW only, Phone only, or Mixed
mode. Per rule 6.3. All entrants may only transmit one signal at any given
time; alternating CQs on two or more frequencies using the same band and mode
is prohibited.
The restriction is therefore prohibiting switching back and forth between two
phone channels or two CW channels – occupying twice the mode bandwidth.

I didn't read the mode part....So alternating modes is ok. With so
much room on 10m, I am not sure why it is even a thing in this contest.
