The DX Contest results article in September QST (now available via the
ARRL homepage) is just as awful.
Someone at ARRL HQ needs to undertake a serious review of how contest
results are reported in QST. IMHO contest results articles should not be
directed at the committed contester audience, every one of us knows where
to look for the on-line results. The articles should be written to attract the
interest of the not-yet-committed.

Subject: Re: [CQ-Contest] ARRL DX CW Contest in QST
I received my August QST the other day, as the original one was returned to
the ARRL for some reason and they sent another to me, and other than the
poor coverage of the ARRL CW DX contest, I thought it was one of the more
interesting issues I have received recently. Both articles on Mount Athos
were well written, and the article on the Collins KWM-380 was also a nice
read. "The Doctor is in" also had some intelligent questions this time.
