The OC DX Contest is always exciting for stations that might not be able
to work OC on a day-in-day-out basis. SFI is up a bit, too, so you might
be able to fill in some band counters for entities or grids.

Plus, here in the NA midwest and east, those signals all have that "DX
Sound" from traveling so many km. If you want to hear what that sounds
like, these two contests give you a great opportunity to do so. You can
also experiment with long-path openings that you might not otherwise get to
take advantage of in the heat of a world-wide contest.

Interesting note, years ago I did a distance evaluation and found ZL to be
the populated area most remote on average from all other DXCC entities.
(That spreadsheet had to work HARD.) The only more remote entities were
some of the ZL sub-antarctic groups. The least remote entity was 9A.

Thanks for keeping the contest going!
