Nothing runs like a Salmon Runs...
This weekend, the best of the best, the Washington State Salmon Run,
ushers in the Fall contest season.
This your opportunity to catch the elusive Ham-Sockeye.
Frankly, this fish is not worth eating, is downright ugly, and isn't
even good for fertilizer.
(Killed my tomato's last year.)
However, it is worth catching for the thrill alone.
So much so that we recommend you toss it back and let everyone else know
where you caught it.
This fish fights better every time it hits the net (and you really don't
want to keep it around as it smells pretty bad).
Licensing requirements and angler reports for the usual fishing holes
are available at
http://salmonrun.wwdxc.org/
Even then, some of the Ham-Sockeye move around a lot and you need to be
nimble to find 'em.
