I'm not sure what this "KNOB" you reference is (Kareening Neanderthal-like Over Band?), but during a contest tuning is done via ALT-A and CTRL-ARROW combinations. If you mean that old fashioned way of slowly and mechanically moving up and down the bands in minute increments, that is the UP arrow and DOWN arrow, of course.
