Thanks, Vytenis. I don't trust most recommendations of product types that are often (almost always) noisy, simply because those making the recommendations are so surrounded by high noise levels that they don't notice the noise from the noisy product. And here in the US, the average home has several dozen noise sources. We hear our own, and those of our neighbors.

There is no enforcement of RF noise regulations by our government (FCC), after that agency was gutted 40 years ago in the name of "small government.

There ARE good ways for us to do our own tests. They are listed in my applications note on finding and killing RX noise.
