fatal error

VE3MV has asked me to post this for him.

i have just bought a new 486 computer (running dos 6.2) and tried to install
version 8 of CT. i can't get it to run and consistently get the following 
message:
        Fatal Error
        Previously installed software is neither VCPI nor DPMI-compatible.

any suggestions?
