I can echo this suggestion.  CT 9.46 was erratic until I realized that all
the radio, TNC, etc. problems were caused by not starting the computer from
DOS.

It would be useful if people reporting CT crashes would indicate whether
they are using CT in "Windows DOS" or true DOS.  I suspect most of these
problems are in Windows DOS.  I make a point of running all DOS programs
in true DOS, and have never (as yet!) had a serious problem.
