THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM>>>

Many in the Florida Contest Group are planning serious WCF Section Kick off
efforts (i.e. records) ...

If you have contesting software check this NOW! We anticipate enough
headaches convincing the casual operators that West Central Florida is
indeed a legitimate section let alone active contesters! No matter whose
software you run you will find you need to update your sections multiplier
files if it is pre January, 2000 when the West Central Florida section was
born.

We had our first taste of this problem on Field Day when hams would insist
they knew we were stupid and were sending the wrong section, our callsign
form the effort I was at for FD was:

K4WCF

On CW it was impossible (your average FD CW op getting on for his once a
year attempt at the dits and dahs)

On SSB it was a LOT of explaining and not exactly conducive to running!

Many of us were caught with a similar scenario a few years back when
Northern New York showed up...please update your multiplier files NOW to
include WCF.

Good eye KZ2I....

Jim, K4OJ
