In your config.sys add the following statement

shell=c:\command.com /p /E:1024

That'll give you 1024 bytes of environment space.

 Hi,

 When I try to add "SET CTPATH= " etc statements in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, I
 get an out of environment space error. I believe there is a way too
 increase the amount of space that DOS reserves for the environment space.

 Does anyone remember how to do it??
