We also experienced this "glitch" plus one other.
Four computers were networked via ethernet, all
except one had a radio connected to a comm port.
The computer positions which had radios connected
had this "glitch";
When a call was entered, space bar to check for dupe
or needed, if it was a dupe the message would appear
only for about 3 seconds, then turn off. Same with the
call needed message.
The computer not connected to a radio, not a problem.
Removing the radio connection from the other computers
restored the space bar messages.
This only seems to be a Field Day problem. after the contest
we looked at CQWW DX and WPX not a problem. It seems
that when the program "polls" for radio info, it removes the
dupe message and call needed message.
