I am preparing the computers for this weekend's M/S effort at N4PN. I have made up the serial cables and they are working fine. I am only using the RX data and TX data and ground....I notice in the manual, it mentions RTS and CTS and DSR and DTR (both crossed over) being connected as well....are the RTS/CTS and DSR/DTR connections absolutely necessary??...everything is working fine without them.
