Without looking at the current discussion think Pauls wish should be
clear and is a good point of enhancement for one of the next versions:

1. when starting with a new bin-File ofcourse something should be the
band/mode to start with, e.g. 20m CW (both depending on the category
entered).
2. when QSOs where putted in, the program was finished or crashed (or
this "Win..." crashed) the next start should in my opinion just select
band/mode from last QSO entered to use it at the startpoint.
3. another possibility is to write the current position (without having
logged a QSO) of band/mode to a parameter file which could be read on
startup and used to set the data. Thus seems to be good when I changed
from the band of my last QSO to another so I wish to start with the new
band as I'm still searching for Q's.

Ofcourse all plays role only if not connected to the transceiver and the
program doesn't read the current QRG.

Best regards,
