K0HB and K1EP, as I suspected, it's not that simple
or it would probably already be done. See the following from
N6TR who just did the Orion interface for TRLog...which is
where I'm probably headed eventually.

"It is not that simple. The Orion uses a totally different protocol
than the Omni's and Icom's. I gave them a ration of static for not
making it backwards compatible.
So this answer is right - for the Omni, which uses a Hex Address of
4 I believe. However, for Orion, there isn't a radio address at all
and the commands are very different.
W4AU reports the Orion interfaced worked great with TR in the SS CW.
