To Russ and others, here is the heart of the e-mail that I returned to Theo
and Dennis at Logic.

Here are the options which NA provides for generating ASCII data for
import:

(Note: the .QDF file is the basic binary file which NA uses)

1. ADIF (Amateur Data Interchange File) - Load the .QDF file into NA and
write the output files. Assuming your file is named "yourfile", the ADIF
file is named YOURFILE.ADF. This should be your first choice.

2. ARRL Format File - Load the .QDF file into NA and write the output
files. Assuming your callsign is "yourcall", the ARRL format file is named
YOURCALL.LOG as specified by the ARRL. This is pure ASCII data separated
by spaces.

3. Serial Data File - NA includes a utility program called NAU.EXE which
can convert the .QDF into a serial format. Load the .QDF file into NAU and
select the Serial Data File option. Assuming your file is named
"yourfile", the serial data file is named YOURFILE.SDF.

Note: this is all in the manual...
