NEW NA RELEASE 10.42 NOW AVAILABLE
A new version of the NA contest logging program is now available from the
Radio Bookstore or the DATOM Engineering web site. (Note: There was no
general release of version 10.41).
One of the big additions to 10.42 is support for the Cabrillo File Format
for submitting logs to the ARRL and others. To foster usage of this new
format, DATOM is making the new version with Cabrillo support available to
users who have purchased NA since May 1996 (i.e., version 10.xx) but whose
supdate subscription has expired. A copy of NA 10.42 may be requested via
an e-mail to datom@contesting.com. Please make sure your return address is
correct and can receive file attachments.
This new version 10.42 has the following bug fixes, and revised or new
features:
BUG FIXES
* Corrected memory allocation bugs which were causing program crashes.
* Corrected bugs when using QSO NUMBERS BY BAND with contests where dupes
were counted by band and mode (tnx K3CT).
REVISED FEATURES
* Revised SS support to accomodate new precedences.
* Command line switch to start RTTY screen is now -RTTY (was -RITTY).
* Revised controls for RITTY/BITTY autotune (tnx K3MM for suggestions).
* Revised ARRL format log file to Cabrillo format specification.
NEW FEATURES
* Added rules for support of the CQWW RTTY contest.
* Added support for Kantronics KAM multimode controller for RTTY
operation.
* SOAPBOX command added to include soapbox comments in .QDF file.
* OPERATORS command added to include operator list in .QDF file.
* CONFIG version 1.10 released to support NA program changes.
* TE version 1.12 released to support NA program changes.
Users should be sure to replace all the existing Contest Rules Template
(.CRT) files with the updated ones provided with this new version.
