Yep - I do this all the time.
I have a linux box that is doing firewall/NAT duties so all
the comptuers in my LAN can access the net through one
dialup connection. What I do is log in to the linux box
on a serial port from the terminal window in the logging
program I use. WM5R has documented this setup here:

It describes a setup with TR-Log but it should work with NA
or anything else that has a dumb terminal interface to a serial port.
