Further study of the references seems to show that in all cases the amateur
allocation in the country of reference is quite
adequately covered. In many countries, the two meter band is only 144-146, so
in those countries, commercial use of 146-148 is
accepted. Use of a search engine while entering the parameters listed would
bring up these listings, but when the listings are
individually examined, there appears to be no cause for concern. However, and
this is a big however, if these devices are illegally
sold into Canada or the USA, there is great cause for concern. I would think
that the onus would be totally on the vendors of these
ugly gadgets and on the regulators to punish them if they sell into Canada and
the USA.
My opinion for what it is worth.
