Keith there are different kinds of "snap-on ferrite beads" do you know which
kind you used?
And thank you for the reply.

This is in response to the last couple posts regarding TVI and Dish
Network receivers. I don't run high power on 2 meters, so have no
direct experience there, but did have problems with HF getting into the
system when we first got it. Three or four snap-on ferrite beads
(unknown composition, they were surplus) installed at the back of the
receiver on the coax feed from the satellite antenna cured the problem.
I can run a KW with the beam about 30 - 40 feet from the satelite
antenna with no problems. You can't use a high pass filter on this
cable, as it carries DC power for the LNA/downcoverter in the antenna
feed. I've never had any problems with coupling to the RF cables
between components as long as the connections are kept tight.

Good luck,

Keith
