Another example of the FCC's total change from a protective regulatory agency
diligently defending licensed frequency spectrum from unlicensed unlawful use
to a Federal Agency on the take from commercial private corporations. The
FCC has been conquered by the far east and illicit America manufactures of CB
Big 10-4 Good Buddy Wall to Wall Rockcrushing Bodacious Amps. 64 Pills and No
output filtering in Class C SSB. I would be surprised if American Hams build
more than 1000 homebrew amplifiers a year operating in the 24-35 MHz range, so
the FCC's justification of experimental amateur radio is false and belittling.
This rule change will have no effect on approved manufacturers for the ham
market.
With another million Good Buddy Lineeers in the top segment of HF, looks
like BPL will be taking that segment out of their operational band.

The FCC also has proposed essentially eliminating its rules
prohibiting manufacture or marketing of Amateur Radio Service power
amplifiers capable of operating between 24 and 35 MHz. The current
rules "impose unnecessary restrictions on manufacturers of Amateur
Radio equipment and are inconsistent with the experimental nature of
the Amateur Service," the FCC said.
