Type 73 appears to be a good choice for HF, but I don't think
Fair-Rite Products produces it in toroid form. I think it's only
available in bead form or binocular cores. I just measured
an ~12" long ferrite bead balun made with 50 type 73 beads
slipped over ~12" of RG-142. This choke balun had very good
series impedance over the entire HF band.
