How much power on what Ham band is necessary to get
into these things, causing them to work poorly or
to cease working at all?

They opened the door by deliberately leaving out
the components necessary to be good rf citizens.

Perhaps we need to make some stratgic use of legal
QRO Ham activity - the manufacturers are required
to make their devices safe in Ham and other
communication spectrum - not our fault that their
track lights flash morse code!

When the poorly made devices stop working, or only
work intermittently, and returns and complaints
skyrocket they will spend the pennies to build them
correctly.

It is not as though the cheap labor in China and
elsewhere is not providing everyone plenty of
profit - for the massive Chinese war machine and
the billionaire Walmart corporation.

Two can play the rf game!  :-)
