More info from Ed W1RFI and my apologies to Mike W1MG for
getting his call wrong (W1MB) in my previous post.

We did get a report from a member who found that when the put the
bulbs into his apartment, his noise went up. He found some were noisy;
some were not, and sent us two noisy ones and two quiet ones.

We are nearly done with a test fixture that will comply with the ANSI
C63.4 standard test method and we can then do some serious testing.
>From the preliminary results, Amateur Radio doesn't have a major
problem at hand, but some manufacturers may be noisy or quiet
manufacturers may have quality control issues.

We'll document formally in QST, but I don't mind if you share Mike's
and my preliminary conclusions with the list.

And Mike, sign up for the RFI reflector. There is good stuff there
and you will be able to make a contribution from time to time. I do
read the list as I have time, but if one wants to communicate with
ARRL staff, it is best to do so directly. We are "home" during normal
business hours, but not always at home on various lists and
reflectors. :-)

Thanks Mike! I copied your post to the RFI list. I know you included
it in your distribution but you are apparently not a member so it will
probably boune. Thanks again and I'll be looking for your results.
