Hello Tony,

I have noisy junk around my QTH too. Dimmer lights, TV's, fancy lighting
systems, computers with junk PS's etc. I bought both the MFJ 1025 and the
Timewave noise canx box, I forget the model number. I am currently using the
MFJ model. These boxes work about the same and they canx the noise before it
gets into the radio. They work on only one noise however and you must install
a good noise sense antenna not the little antenna sticking out of the box. The
device has to be able to hear the noise in order to canx it out. It is a last
resort and it does work. These boxes do introduce loss, but on the low bands
it doesn't matter. I generally do not need these devices above 40 meters. The
best way is to quiet the RFI at the source. Good luck with it.
